RPM III Motors

RPMIII DC Motors  feature a laminated frame design which provides for more power, reliability and serviceability in a smaller package.  The field proven laminated frame improves commutation and heat dissipation, and requires less mounting space than conventional designs.  Choose from our complete line of enclosures including: Drip Proof Guarded (DPG),   Drip Proof Guarded Force Ventilated (DPG-FV), Totally Enclosed  Fan Cooled (TEFC), Totally Enclosed Non Ventilated (TENV), Totally Enclosed Explosion Proof (TEXP), Totally Enclosed Air Over (TEAO) and Totally Enclosed Dual Cooled (TEDC).  A variety of ratings, enclosures and voltages are stocked through 500HP and custom designs are available with a wide variety of modifications to meet your specific application requirements.

Fractional HP Motors

These NEMA frame fractional HP DC motors include both wound field and permanent magnet designs. Wound field designs are available through 3 HP and permanent magnet designs through 5 HP. All are designed for adjustable speed operation from SCR controls. Applications include conveyors, extruders, packaging equipment, mixers, winders, printing presses and metering pumps. Most designs are constructed so a tachometer may be added for closed loop applications and are offered with 90 or 180 VDC armatures and 20:1 constant torque speed range.

Super RPM Motors

Round Frame Motors

Round frame SCR rated DC motors feature a rugged rolled steel frame designed for long life in industrial applications.  Our round frame designs are direct replacements for competitive motors of similar design construction.  Stock and custom motors are available in a wide variety of enclosures including drip Proof Fully Guarded (DPFG), Drip Proof Blower Ventilated (DPBV), Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled (TEFC), Totally Enclosed Non Ventilated (TENV), Totally Enclosed Air Over (TEAO) and Totally Enclosed Unit Cooled (TEUC). 

RPM III Mine Motors

Custom designed and OEM specific, RPMIII totally-enclosed explosion proof DC Mine Motors are designed for use in the dust-filled explosive atmosphere of an underground coal mine. Tight machining tolerances of frames, brackets and the conduit box provide the explosion proof integrity required by MSHA and other international certifying agencies.

Lifting Magnet Motors

Baldor Lifting Magnet Generators provide power for lifting electro-magnets used in scrap and bulk metal handling facilities. Horizontal motors may be belted from the diesel engine or the motors with C-faces may be coupled to the PTO drive of the crane.  Standard DC generators are available through 2200kW and are offered with a variety of voltage choices.

Explosion Proof Motors

Permanent Magnet DC Motors are available for 1/4 - 1-1/2 HP and wound field motors of 1/2 - 2 HP for Class I, Group D and Class II, Group F & G locations with listing by both UL and CSA are available from stock or as a custom motor.  Laminated frame wound field designs are offered through 40HP for Class I Group C & D, Class II Group E,F & G on a custom motor basis.
